About us

streetwear emerged in the late 1970s, with its roots in the skateboarding and hip-hop scene. brands like Stüssy and Supreme began producing t-shirts, hoodies and caps featuring bold graphics, logos, and slogans that quickly became staples of street style. these were the product of a rebellious and counterculture driven ideology.

the idea behind lowercase labs was to try and embrace that counterculture, the entire reason that streetwear was born. however, there are thousands of clothing brands out there, who really needs another?

while a lot of great Indian brands inspired us as well, it seems a majority of streetwear in India today is just copied designs and knockoffs. which is the exact opposite of the uniqueness that the culture is supposed to represent.

in our opinion, streetwear is all about self-expression. something that allows wearers to make a statement and showcase their personality. if it makes sense to you; it doesn’t need to make sense to anyone else.

whether you’re into hip-hop, abstract art, surrealism or just appreciate a unique aesthetic, streetwear allows you to express yourself in a way that feels authentic and true to you.

our designs are 100% original, have a story attached to them and are sure to turn heads. so come join us at the lab! we’re all mad scientists here ✌🏼
